Complete the Your DMU Future Introduction to Blended Learning module

This academic year at DMU is different in many ways and we want to make the transition to blended learning as simple and as easy for you as possible.

Therefore, we have developed a new mini module that we’re asking all students to complete to ensure that they understand what it’s like to learn in a blended environment. The module, called ‘Your DMU Future Introduction to Blended Learning’, can be accessed via your faculty Blackboard shell.

You will find it on the left-hand side menu under the title ‘Skills Development’. It is called ‘Your DMU Future Introduction to Blended Learning’.

The module will take approximately three hours for you to complete and you can do this in smaller chunks, returning to it at a later stage.

The mini module includes guidance on support services, time management, different modes of online delivery, and a worksheet where you can assess your level of competency with blended learning. The worksheet will be an important discussion point in your personal tutor meetings.

Don’t forget to also take a look at our Your DMU Future Student Handbook which includes lots of handy tips and guidance about learning online. If you need any IT support, Your DMU IT Handbook is there to help you use technology confidently as part of your education at DMU.
