Our next summer graduation ceremonies take place between Tuesday 8 September and Wednesday 16 September 2026 at the award-winning Curve Theatre.
Graduation will always be one of the most special days of a student’s life. At DMU, we work especially hard to ensure you have the most fantastic finale to your time at university.

Our booking system is open and you must confirm your place before Friday 5 June to purchase up to two guest tickets.
After this date, the two guest tickets are no longer guaranteed. Some ceremonies fill up quickly, so seating might be limited; we strongly advise that you book straight away to avoid disappointment. If, after booking you can no longer attend, you can cancel later.
For more information about tickets, please see our ticketing guide on the DMU website.
To find out when your ceremony takes place, check the full graduation schedule online.
For information on hiring your graduation gown, official photography packages and guest tickets, visit preparing for your graduation.
You will need to hire your graduation gown from our official supplier, William Northam, by Monday 31 August to ensure you have secured your robes for the occasion.
Graduation is a formal event, so we recommend that you dress smartly. Our teams do have the right to refuse entry to graduands dressed inappropriately.
We recognise that sometimes students are unable to attend their graduation ceremony because they are unable to meet the costs of tickets for their guests and gown hire.
We therefore offer students who are facing genuine and unavoidable financial hardship the opportunity to apply to our graduation support fund by submitting an application to receive two guest tickets and gown hire with no charge.
Please note that you do not have to pay for your own ticket to graduate.
The Graduation Support Fund will be open to applications until Friday 5 June.
