As the National Student Survey 2026 comes to a close, we reveal the winner of our top prize in the NSS Prize Draw.

The National Student Survey has now come to an end. As a thank you for those who completed the survey we held a prize draw, with some graduation prizes and a grand prize up for grabs.
Today, final-year student Danniella Tovey was the winner of our random grand prize draw and became the lucky recipient of an Apple iPad.
She also won a graduation pack, alongside 100 other students, which includes two free tickets to her graduation ceremony, a photography pack and gown hire.
Danniella, who grew up in Leicester and studies Health and Wellbeing, reflected on her time at DMU and what she’s gained from her studies:
“My degree is really good, I’ve learnt so many new things in different topics. Health and Wellbeing is such a broad subject.
“I wasn’t quite sure about university to start with, I mostly went because my friends were going, but I’ve ended up really enjoying it. I'm not the most confident person, and being at DMU has really helped me gain my confidence too.”
The NSS allows final-year undergraduate students to feedback on their university experience and course.
Alasdair Blair, Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor Education, who presented Danniella with the iPad, said:
“A big thank you to all those who have completed the NSS. Having students reflect on their time at university is really important for us to give a high-quality student experience, and obviously it makes everyone so happy when the results are good.
“But it's more than just the results, it's about seeing students transform their lives. We’ve heard from Danniella today about that positive impact, that she’s had a journey she didn’t think she was going to go on. Education isn’t just a certificate, it’s a route to something, hopefully better things, so it’s great to see that powerful impact in someone’s life.”
