Postgraduate Research Experience Survey

Are you a postgraduate research student?

If yes, you are invited to take part in the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) run by DMU with the Higher Education Academy.

The survey asks about your experience of your postgraduate research programme. We realise these are challenging times, but it is important we continue to seek your views of your PGR experience through this last year, which will help inform our policies and processes going forward. More than 120 universities will be involved in this survey nationally.

Your responses, collated anonymously, will help us to improve future support for you and your peers. The results are also used nationally to help inform policy and improve the postgraduate research experience across the sector.

The PRES is an online questionnaire that takes around 15 minutes to complete. Please rest assured that all data will be held anonymously and students who participate will not be identified.

Your voice counts

The feedback from students who took part in the PRES 2018 helped the university to improve the student experience for research degree students. Your participation in this year’s survey is very important and we really appreciate your giving your time for this in what is a challenging environment. We will share with you the final report on PRES at DMU, and indicate any actions we are taking as a consequence of what you have detailed in your response.

The survey is available from Monday 26 April 2021 to 5pm on Monday 10 May 2021

When you click on to the survey, you will be asked to submit your username and password.

Your username is your P number. Do not put in the ‘P’, only the numeric digits. If your numeric digits start with 0, 1 or 9, you will have eight digits in your P number, but you need to put in only the first seven.

If the numeric digits in your P number start with 2, put in all seven digits.

Your password is your date of birth in this format DD/MM/YYYY, e.g. 01/12/1970.
