What is the PTES and why should I complete it?

The PTES gathers insights from postgraduate students on their teaching and learning experience. Your feedback is important to us and can make a real difference.

More than 120 UK universities are involved in the PTES, which is supported by AdvanceHE. Its results are also used to guide national policy and develop the postgraduate experience across the Higher Education sector. All data is held anonymously.

What’s in the survey?

The PTES only takes around 15 minutes to complete and includes the following topics:

  • Teaching and learning
  • Assessment and feedback
  • Dissertation or final project
  • Organisation and management
  • Learning resources
  • Skills and personal development
  • Overall satisfaction
  • Students’ motivations for taking their course

Thank you for taking the time to complete the survey.

You could win a £300 Love2Shop voucher!

All students who complete the PTES will be automatically entered into a prize draw, for the chance to win one of four £300 Love2Shop vouchers. Prizes will be drawn fortnightly on Fridays, starting from Friday 1 March.
