An announcement on January 2022 Graduation ceremonies

We are pleased to announce that our graduates from the July 2020 graduation ceremonies, which regrettably had to be postponed, will be invited to their graduation ceremony in January 2022.

In addition, students who successfully completed their course after 15 July 2021 and before 26 November 2021 will also be able to celebrate in spectacular style at the award-winning Curve Theatre in Leicester in the heart of the city’s vibrant Cultural Quarter in January 2022. The theatre is home to an inspiring and diverse programme of musicals, plays, dance and opera and will be transformed into a stunning graduation venue.

We have taken the decision to relocate ceremonies so that the teaching timetable is not impacted by large scale events on campus. We have held our graduation ceremonies at the Curve Theatre in previous years and we know our students will have the most amazing day of celebration.

You can take a look at the Graduations ceremony schedule here.

Our BOOKING SYSTEM will open at 12 noon today (2 November) and close at 11pm on 21 November 2021. You will receive an invitation giving full details of how to book your place at your graduation ceremony. Invites will be sent to your alumni email address (your pnumber@alumni365.dmu.ac.uk).

Please note that we anticipate ceremonies will sell out very quickly and we strongly encourage all students to book their place - along with their guests' - early to avoid disappointment.

Please do not make any travel or accommodation arrangements until you have received your confirmation of booking email from the Awards Team.

We also want to reassure our January 2021 graduates that you are not forgotten. We are now working on planning how we can give you an amazing in-person experience in summer 2022 and will let you know our plans as soon as we can.

Graduate Outcomes Survey

As a student who graduated in 2020, you will have, or will soon receive an invitation to complete Graduate Outcomes Survey. This survey is sent to all graduates 15 months after they finish their studies, to capture your perspectives and current status. Please complete this at the earliest opportunity!

How will the survey help you and DMU?

There are various things that we hope to learn from this survey, such as the value your studies have played in your current activities, how this compares to your original plans and how you’re using skills you’ve picked up while in education.

We want to understand your perspective and what success looks like for you. Your valuable and confidential response adds to the collective voice of graduates, and the results will give current and future students an insight into career destinations and development. Your answers will also help DMU to evaluate our courses for future students and improve our university’s standing.

How can you complete the survey?

The survey is delivered by HESA (Higher Education Statistics Agency) on behalf of DMU. You’ll have the option to complete the survey on a variety of devices which will take no longer than 10 minutes.

  • Email: the email will come from Graduate Outcomes:  dmu@graduateoutcomes.ac.uk. These emails will contain a link to complete the survey online
  • Text messages: You will receive text reminders from ‘GradOutcomes’. These texts will contain a link to the online survey.
  • Phone: If you receive a phone call regarding the survey, it will be from IFF Research. It has been appointed to capture survey responses by phone. They will introduce themselves as calling on behalf of DMU.
