Entry requirements for students from Lebanon

 Academic qualificationsEnglish Language
Foundation / International Year Zero

WAEC/SSEC, five subjects at C6 or above (or equivalent qualification)

 

International Year Zero:

WAEC or Senior School Certificate normally with grades 1 - 6

 

For art and design courses, a portfolio of work must be submitted

International Year Zero: Minimum IELTS 4.5 with pre-sessional English

 

DMU foundation courses: IELTS 6.0

 

WAEC (Grade 6 or above) or IELTS 5.0

Undergraduate

 

A Levels - 104 to 136 UCAS points from minimum 2 A Levels (may require certain subject grades)

 

IB – 24 to 32 points (may require subject grades at HL)

 

Accepted Foundation Programme 2-Year Diploma from Intermediate/Higher Institute with overall 65% or higher

 

Standard XII - Pass Standard XII with a minimum average of 65% from the best 4 subjects excluding Hindi

 

French Baccalaureate - minimum grade of 12/20 Lebanese Baccalaureate minimum grade of 12/20 PLUS either US system quals - 2 AP's from Group A with at least one score of 4 OR 2 SAT subject tests with a minimum score of 550 in each

 

2-Year Diploma from Intermediate/Higher Institute with overall 65% or higher

 

2nd year - 3rd year Undergraduate:

Entry to year 2 or 3 may be possible. You will need to supply detailed information including courses taken, grades achieved, syllabus and a grading guide.

 

If you are unable to enter an undergraduate course directly, you may wish to study an International Incorporate Bachelor's Degree or the International First Year which is offered at Leicester International Pathway College, located on the DMU campus.

IELTS 6.5 for Pharmacy, Business, Law, Social Sciences, Sciences and Humanities subjects

 

IELTS 7.5 for Speech and Language Therapy

Postgraduate

For courses that require a 2.1 classification, we accept an equivalent of GPA 3.0/4.0 or 3.5 (out of 5.0) or 80%

 

For courses that require a 2.2 classification, we accept an equivalent of GPA 2.5/4.0 or 2.8 (out of 5.0) or 75%

 

Some courses have additional entry criteria such as a portfolio or work experience, may require you to have a degree in a related field, or may ask for a higher score in your degree
