Middle East and North Africa

De Montfort University (DMU) Leicester is located in the welcoming and multicultural city of Leicester and has become a popular choice for students from the Middle East and North Africa. We are delighted to offer more than 300 courses at foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate level, many of which offer professional accreditations, links to industry and work experience.

Our university has a long history of welcoming students from around the world and provides a friendly environment for students of all backgrounds. Our campus includes four prayer rooms and serves Halal food options throughout the university. We also have a number of student societies and clubs to support our international students.

Leicester offers everything you expect from a city and more – all on your doorstep. There are great shops, bars and restaurants just a short distance from campus, and Leicester is recognised as a great place to be a student too, with the latest Student Living Index (compiled by NatWest) ranking Leicester in the top 10 ‘student cities’, based on the cost to students of food, rent and fun.

Not only do we have excellent relations with a variety of sponsors in both the public and private sector across both regions, DMU also enjoys strong links as a reputable university with the Kuwaiti Cultural Office (KCO), Saudi Arabian Cultural Bureau (SACB), United Arab Emirates Embassy, Qatari Cultural Office and many more governmental institutions. We aim to offer students from the Middle East and North Africa region an outstanding education, and fantastic student experience in a welcoming community.
