South East Asia

De Montfort University (DMU) is located in Leicester, which is a very multicultural city. The city is affordable, convenient and safe for all students, with close transport links to all major cities in the UK, including London which is just over an hour away by train.

We are delighted to offer more than 300 courses at foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate level, many of which offer professional accreditations, links to industry and work experience.

You will have plenty of opportunities to grow at DMU, whether you want to travel the world through our international student experience, DMU Global, make the most of our award-winning Careers Team or host your own radio show through our very own student led, demon media, the opportunities are endless if you decide to join us. We also have a number of student societies and clubs such as the Filipino Society, and Indonesian Society to support our international students.

Leicester offers everything you expect from a city and more – all on your doorstep. There are great shops, bars and restaurants just a short distance from campus. Leicester was also named the fourth most vibrant city in the UK, putting it ahead of the likes of Bristol, Edinburgh, Leeds and London (Top Cities Vibrancy Report, 2022), as well as the best city in the East Midlands to live and work (Good Growth for Cities Index, 2022).

Each year more than 100 international students from South East Asia choose to study with us. De Montfort University has historically had great relationships with Premier League club Leicester City & Thai travel retail group King Power, which has brought hundreds of opportunities for students.
