Think your business idea has potential? Win a £2,000 investment through DMU Made's Pitch2Win

Budding entrepreneurs at DMU have the chance to win £2,000 towards their business idea as the annual Pitch2Win competition returns.

Run in partnership with The Sir Thomas White Loan Charity, DMU students and recent graduates (who graduated from the university within the last two years) have the chance to impress a panel of judges by pitching their businesses in the hope of winning the investment.

To enter the competition, you just need to email across a sixty-second video to dmumade@dmu.ac.uk outlining what your business or concept is.

Use the subject line Pitch2Win. Please include your full name and P number in your application.

The deadline to submit is 9am on Monday 26 October 2026

From there, semi-finalists will be invited along to a pitching day in November where they will pitch in front of the judging panel. More information about the November pitching day will be sent to those students who have been selected.

The final three students will then pitch their business to a live audience as part of the DMU Made 20th Anniversary Freelancing & Entrepreneurship Awards on the evening of 2 February 2027.

Last year, Sarah Jones won the Pitch2Win competition for her independent company that makes pot plants out of sheep wool.

The Sir Thomas White Loan Charity provides interest-free loans to young entrepreneurs and postgraduate students in Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland. See https://stwcharity.co.uk for more information.
