First year students, how are you doing?

We’ll be calling in the next few weeks to ask how you’re settling in.

Your first year at university means a lot of change. It might mean staying away from home for the first time, locking into your favourite subject in a way you haven’t before, new ways of studying or simply meeting new people from different backgrounds.

Maybe that’s been exciting, or possibly bewildering. It’s probably been intense!

As part of your first few weeks at DMU, one of our student team members will be giving you a call to ask how you’re doing. They’re either current students at DMU or recent graduates, and all have been through the changes you’re experiencing quite recently.

They’ll ask you a few questions about your experiences so far, how you’re settling in and if you might need any support to excel in your studies.
