WhatUni Student Choice Awards – Shaping the future at DMU

Have you completed your WhatUni review for DMU? 

The WhatUni Student Choice Awards (WUSCAs) launched last year, and we’ve already seen an improved response from previous reviews - thank you!  

As well as giving you a really strong voice and platform to share your views, when you leave a review, you’ll be entered into a weekly prize draw with two winners each receiving £100!

The survey helps us to find out what you really think and make improvements to the university environment that you’ve asked for. In the past few years, we’ve listened to your feedback and:   

• Updated our facilities, such as the Digital Technology Learning Hub and Trading Floor, to give you access to some of the best equipment in the country 

• Been rated by QS Top Universities as an ‘excellent five-star university’ for our teaching, facilities, employability, and global outlook 

• Taken sustainability seriously to become the second-best university in the People and Planet’s league table 

• Worked more closely with employers to integrate your ideas into courses and offer more work placements to help your future employability. As a result, DMU was rated the best university for work experience by RateMyPlacement in both 2024 and 2025 

• Focused on student support, where we have been nominated as best in the country by the Times Higher Awards and recognised by the National Association of Disability Practitioners Award as the best at supporting autistic students
