Showing Stereotypes the Red Card: Women in Football

On Monday 29 March between 1-2pm we are delighted to be joined by members of the Leicester City Football Club (LCFC) Women's team, who are currently top of the FA Women's Championship table. They will be are joining us for a panel discussion along with members of our DMU community.

The panel will share their own experiences of being women in sport and will discuss breaking the glass ceiling, an invisible barrier that often prevents women and minorities from being promoted to managerial- and executive-level positions. They will also be offering advice for aspiring sports professionals and talk about what makes Leicester the great city that it is.

There will be time for the audience to put questions to our all-female panel at the end too.

The panel will consist of three LCFC Women players, Holly Morgan, Remi Allen and Libby Smith. Joining them will be current student and member of DMU Women's Football Club, Annie Taylor and the Men's Football first team coach Georgie Van Dijk.
