Get your Covid-19 vaccination today at pop-up clinic

In England, all adults aged 18 are now able to receive their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.

There is an opportunity for you to receive yours at a pop-up vaccination clinic today (Friday 25 June) with no need to book.

The clinic will take place from 10am to 2.30pm at The Kube, Leicester Racecourse, Oadby, Leicester, LE2 4AL.

All you need to do is make sure you have your NHS number with you and the team there will register you.

We strongly encourage all of our students to book your vaccine as soon as you are able to do so. Getting vaccinated is our passport to enjoying a more normal campus experience and is the most effective way to protect both yourself and your loved ones.

There is a series of pop-up clinics talking place across Leicestershire this weekend, you can find out more here.

Booking your vaccination if you cannot attend the pop-up clinic

The Covid-19 vaccination is being offered to everyone aged 18 or over at local sites run by GPs or community pharmacies, at larger vaccination centres and in some hospitals. Local areas may also work with partners to set up more "pop up" temporary clinics at locations convenient for students to access.

Students registered with a GP can book their appointment online at a larger vaccination centre, a community pharmacy run site or at some GP run sites or phone 119.

Those of you who are registered with a GP will also receive an invitation to be vaccinated from your GP practice. If you’re not registered with a GP, you can request to book the vaccine as an unregistered patient by contacting your local GP practice.

You will find specific FAQs for students on booking the vaccine here. This PDF also includes useful information for international students and if you will be in different locations for your first and second doses on the vaccine.

If you have any questions or concerns about getting the vaccine, please take a look at our ‘Be safe, get the Covid vaccine’ webpage where you will find FAQs, key things to know and myths, stats and facts.

It’s important to remember that once you have received your vaccine, you still need to comply with infection prevention and control and testing measures.
