Eid al-Fitr is predicted to fall this year on the evening of Saturday 23 May, and marks the end of Ramadan, a month of fasting, prayer and reflection.
Eid al-Fitr is usually a joyous occasion for the community, with large gatherings, the sharing of meals and gift giving.
We understand that this year will be slightly different, but DMU would like to wish staff and students Eid Mubarak, and to enjoy the occasion, however you are celebrating.
DMU's Imam and Muslim chaplain Mohammed Laher has recorded a short message for students, see below.
