The Cyber Technology Institute (CTI), led by Professor Helge Janicke, provides outstanding training and high quality research and consultancy services in the fields of cyber security, software engineering and digital forensics.

The Cyber Technology Institute is proud to be recognised as an Airbus Centre of Excellence in SCADA cyber security and forensics. We are also pleased to be an invited member of the Research Institute in Trustworthy Inter-connected Cyber-physical Systems (RITICS)
Furthermore, the Cyber Technology Institute works with industrial and public sector partners to deliver premium business products and consultancy services to solve real-world problems in relation to cyber threats and information security responsibilities.
Training and research
We offer a wide range of training programmes to meet individual and organisational needs.
These range from short CPD courses to Apprenticeships; as well as tailored Masters level programmes, such as our MSc in Cyber Technology.
With the support and endorsement of our Industrial Advisory Group which includes: Airbus, BT, Deloitte UK and Rolls-Royce; the Cyber Technology Institute is able to ensure that its courses are relevant to, and up-to-date with, the current cyber security challenges faced by industry; thus ensuring that its students and graduates have the core skills to meet these challenges within their employers’ organisations.
All of our courses are delivered by experts in their field in our dedicated high-end labs at the Cyber Technology Institute based in the Faculty of Technology at De Montfort University.
In addition to our taught courses, we also offer a comprehensive Doctoral Training Programme in Cyber Security and Software Technology.
