Dr Vasileiou is an Associate Professor at De Montfort University and Director of the East Midlands Cyber Security Cluster (EMCSC). She is also Director and Co-Chair for UK Cyber Cluster Collaboration (UKC3).
Her research and leadership span cybersecurity policy, governance, resilience, social engineering, and the human factors shaping digital risk. She has a particular focus on cyber skills and workforce development, championing diversity and inclusion as critical enablers of resilience.
Dr Vasileiou has secured significant funding and led major regional and national initiatives, including the DSIT-funded Cyber Local programmes and the APPG-backed white paper Cyber Workforce of the Future. Her work informs national cyber strategy, shapes skills policy, and builds the capacity of organisations to respond to an evolving threat landscape.
Through her interdisciplinary research, external engagement, and policy influence, she drives collaboration between academia, industry, and government. Recognised with national awards for her contributions to diversity in cyber, she is helping define the future of the UK’s cyber workforce and resilience agenda.
