The DMU Summer School Experience

We are welcoming all international students to attend the 10 day long  International Summer School programme on Monday 5 August 2024 – Thursday 15 August 2024. This is a unique opportunity for students to experience the great education and opportunities DMU has to offer, as well as explore Leicester and the UK.

We will arrange a number of events providing students with a comprehensive and enriching experience. From workshops and interactive seminars to tasks or challenges, students stand to gain practical insights to honing their skills in all the faculties. 

During the course of 10 days, we will be organising trips to London, Oxford, Harry Potter studios to provide students with opportunities to visit some of the UK's most iconic attractions.

2024 Summer School – information for students 

Summer School fees: £700 per student 

Accommodation cost: £300 per student 

Deposit of Summer School fee (£300) is due by Monday 3 June. This deposit is non-refundable. A deposit payment link will be provided once you have completed the application form.

Remaining balance of Summer School fee (£700) is due by Friday 7 June 2024

Items included in the International Summer School Fees:  

International Summer School Programme: TBC 

  • Day trip to London 

  • Weekend free for travel/exploring on your own 

  • Industry related visit (e.g. Cadbury World) 

  • Trip to Harry Potter Studios 

  • Faculty sessions 

  • Certificate of participation as well as a DMU gift bag 

  • Enjoy a welcome and farewell meal with the new friends you make at the Summer School 

  • Breakfast voucher for each day 

  • Student Ambassador will be on hand during the days of the Summer School 

The items included in the Summer School fees are subject to confirmation. 

Additional costs (not included in the price): 

  • Flights to and from the United Kingdom 

  • Airport transfers (as or if required) 

  • Any COVID-19 testing required by your home country for UK travel 

  • Meals not mentioned in inclusions (over the 9 days in UK) 

  • Travel insurance  

  • Visa costs for entry to the United Kingdom
