National Student Money Week: Less risk, more reward

It’s National Student Money Week from 4–8 March. The theme this year is ‘Less Risk, More Reward – maintaining your financial wellbeing at university.

Join DMU Money Advice and The Wellbeing Team at lunchtime on Wednesday 6 March in the Food Village; and on Thursday 7 March, when the teams will be joined by East Midlands Gambling Harms Service. On both days, you can find us there from 12.30-2.30pm.

Drop in, get advice and take part in competitions and activities to help you go back to the basics of budgeting. We’ll help you learn more about the dangers of risky behaviours like:

To mark National Student Money Week, our partners at Blackbullion are also organising a competition to help you understand different types of financial risk. Sign up to Blackbullion to complete their new ‘Risk’ pathway, grow your personal finance skills and manage your money in a more rewarding way!

Plus, all students who complete this new Risk pathway and collect the ‘NSMW 2024’ badge will go into a prize draw to win a £500 emergency cash fund!
