Entry criteria and how to apply for postgraduate study at DMU

Exact entry requirements may vary from course to course but postgraduate applicants will usually be expected to have either:

  • An undergraduate degree in a relevant subject
  • Extensive employment experience in the field

Exact requirements can be checked via the course pages.

The main way to apply online via the DMU Online Portal. Please note, this option is not available to current students wishing to apply for a new programme, or for recent DMU students wishing to apply for a new programme that have graduated since 2015. For these students please complete the postgraduate application form and email to admissions@dmu.ac.uk

This method allows you to save, revisit and review your application before submitting it at any time of the day.

You will need to attach to your application qualification transcripts, references and (if you are an overseas student) evidence that you have a satisfactory standard of English language.

N.B. Your application will be delayed if you do not provide these documents when you first apply.
