Access a range of jobs platforms geared towards international careers

Careers and visa advice

Our career coaches have lots of experience working with international students from different countries, and can support you to understand the UK labour market and take the next step of your career after graduation. We also have trained visa advisers to help you understand visas in the UK once you graduate.

If you’re studying at one of our partner institutions abroad, we are still here for you. You will have access to an extensive programme of online careers support, which includes:

  1. One-to-one guidance online with our career coaches.
  2. Online webinars and training sessions ran by UK and international employers.

The DMU Careers Hub, our career online hub where you can find all relevant information to get your career started, including resources and links to book personal appointments, book spaces in our dedicated workshops and events as well as direct links to our tools and resources to develop your professional skills.

Careers and the UK market

We have two partnerships in place to help international students better understand the UK labour market and what it takes to get your career started here.

  1. UK Career Ready: a programme by and Gradconsult, Uk Career Ready is a unique FastTrack programme, purposely designed to develop your confidence and readiness to embark on a successful career in the UK.
  2. Student Circus: a site that focuses on job listings that offer Skilled-Worker-visa sponsored jobs, and now also offers the possibility to explore job opportunities in other international countries. There is also a curated International Student Handbook, containing useful information about the UK labour market, plus career opportunities, tools, guides and templates to help you create your professional portfolio.
