Fresh ideas, fresh energy, fresh start: Your DMU Community Week returns 16-20 March


Following the success of the last Your DMU Community week, we’re pleased to announce that the fun-packed week of activities will be back from Monday 16 March – Friday 20 March.

There are activities for everyone taking place in the Food Village, the Kimberlin Library, the Campus Centre, and more!

Here’s just a small selection of activities you can take part in each day:

Monday 16:  

11am-3pm: An Easter egg hunt will take place around campus, starting at the Food Village. Hunting for the sweet treats hidden around campus!

11.30am-3pm: The popular Puppy Therapy session returns to the Campus Centre Atrium! MORE

Tuesday 17:

12pm-12.30pm: Leicester City Football club will be hosting a mental health café workshop in the DSU Pod in the Campus Centre.


6pm–7pm: DMUsport’s Self‑Defence session at The Watershed returns, giving you the chance to build confidence and learn simple, effective techniques in a supportive environment.

Wednesday 18:
11am–2pm: A giant Scalextric track will take over the Campus Centre Atrium, inviting you to drop in, race your friends and enjoy some light‑hearted midweek competition.
7pm–8pm: DMUsport’s Zumba class at The Watershed brings an hour of high‑energy movement, upbeat music and feel‑good vibes to lift your evening.

Thursday 19:
11am–3pm: A colourful Rainbow Weaving Basket (mini) Workshop will be set up in the Food Village, where you can unwind, get creative and make something bright to take home.
12pm: Healthy DMU’s online Masterclass on Assertiveness and Confidence offers practical guidance to help you communicate clearly, set boundaries and feel more empowered in everyday situations.

Friday 20:
11am: A Sip n Paint session in the Food Village invites you to relax with a drink, pick up a brush and enjoy a friendly, creative break to end the week.
6.30pm–7.30pm: DMUsport’s Indoor Football at The Watershed rounds off the week with a fast‑paced, sociable session perfect for blowing off steam and getting active.
