DMU is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students. This includes supporting anyone affected by sexual misconduct and discrimination, including those who witness it, and making it clear what behaviours are unacceptable.

Reporting an incident

You can report an incident via our online form, either anonymously or with details. The form can also be used to request wellbeing support.

Please save the link in case you ever need it.

You can also access additional support and guidance, and information on misconduct, on our website.

Please note that the form is not monitored 24 hours a day and should be used for non-emergency disclosures only.

In an emergency, or if something happens outside normal university hours, contact DMU Security for safety advice on 0116 257 7642 or internal extension 7642.

If there’s immediate danger or a crime, call 999.

Access training

Training on understanding harassment and sexual misconduct is mandatory for DMU staff and students. You can access our course for students via the LearningZone.

The content is divided into six video-based micro‑modules, plus an introductory video. Modules cover topics like consent and boundaries, relationships and harmful behaviours, and bystander intervention skills.

Please take the time to do the training. By reflecting, increasing your awareness and building your skills you can really make a difference.
