Returning library books

Updated on Tuesday 30 June 2020:

Please note that due to the current COVID-19 measures in Leicester, the Kimberlin Library’s book-return service is suspended from 30 June until further notice. We will continue to review the situation and will update you when alternative arrangements are in place.

The books you have on loan from the DMU library have been renewed until 28 September 2020, or until your library expiry date, whichever is sooner. You will not be fined for items that should have been returned between the closure of the university and the new expiry date. Check your library record to discover when your books are due back.

If you are returning in the autumn, you can hold onto current library items if necessary and return them when the library reopens.

We are also exploring additional solutions, such as a nationwide drop-off service between universities to allow students to return DMU library books through their nearest university. More details will follow if this scheme is able to begin.

If you have any other concerns or questions about returning your library books please contact the library at justask@dmu.ac.uk or visit https://dmu-ac-uk.libanswers.com.
