A professional background in the public sector initially as a youth worker and later working within the fields of contract and project management. Returned to university as a mature student to complete an MA in Global Development Futures. The dissertation focused on the surplus food redistribution process following the flow of food from corporate donors to redistributors and on to organisations working directly with people in need or crisis. This study provided the inspiration for the PhD research.
