Educational "Career Conversations" (ECC's)

Post registration, qualified nurses are often faced with a number of professional development opportunities which may be difficult to navigate and understand in particular if some of these are held at a BSc or MSc academic level and have academic credits attached.

We recognise this and so to help you we are offering post registration nursing staff the opportunity to discuss your plans and ideas for continuing your professional development confidentially in an individual session with our Post Registration Educational Career Conversation Leads.

All of our ECC sessions are held individually on a 1-1 basis, usually over MS Teams. They can be used to explore your CPD study plans and to discuss and review the availability of academic modules / programmes, master classes or study days that may be of help in identifying study that is the right choice for you. In addition, if you currently hold academic credits that you may have gained from undertaking an academic module at another university, an Educational Career Conversation session will offer you the opportunity to be able to discuss this and explore our flexible Recognition of Prior Learning processes which may help to facilitate the recognition of your prior learning, (either experiential or through credits gained) in order to be able to grant you an exemption from studying one or more modules with us on your chosen programme.
