The Four Pillars of Risk Management: Improving Risk Management for Multi Agency Public Protection Panels (MAPPA)

The Four Pillars of Risk Management: Improving Risk Management for Multi Agency Public Protection Panels (MAPPA) is a 12 month consultancy for the National Offender Management Service MAPPA unit. The aim of the project is to disseminate a new model for managing multi agency risk assessment and management of serious violent or sexual offenders who fall within the MAPPA procedures. Based upon a pilot in four MAPPA areas across the UK, the national consultancy aims to revise the current national guidance, disseminate and train MAPPA personnel in England and Wales in the 'Four Pillars' approach. The consultancy commences in September 2014 for one year. The work is led by Professor Hazel Kemshall.
