Life in Leicester

Leicester is a multicultural and welcoming city which has been rated as one of the top 10 best cities in the UK in which to live and work. Our campus is less than five minutes from the city centre and you’ll be able to enjoy everything our city has to offer including shopping, sport, music, theatre and comedy, as much as possible.

De Montfort Students' Union

De Montfort Students’ Union (DSU) is open to welcome all our students. DSU represents you, helps connect you with other students, supports you and provides opportunities to get actively involved in student life

It was valuable experience and a privilege to give something back to the community. Without this opportunity, I would not have come to the decision about the job I would like to do.

DMU is an institution committed to the public good and our public engagement work through DMU Local is a very important part of that commitment.

DMU Local organises volunteering for both students and staff, who worked on more than 101 projects contributing 20,465 hours of work predominately in the communities of Leicester.

Our volunteering opportunities help to enrich DMU students’ experience, giving them new skills and helping to boost their employability.
