Placements, Erasmus+ and International exchanges
Placement fee: £750
International students studying abroad at an Erasmus+ or International Exchange partner university for the full academic year: £750
International students studying abroad at an Erasmus+ or International Exchange partner university for one term/semester £13,750/£14,250
International Incoming Study Abroad for 1 Semester: £4,100 (subject to changes in international fees)
International Incoming Study Abroad for full year: £9,600 (subject to changes in international fees)
How to pay international tuition fees
There are four ways you can pay, see details below. When we receive your tuition fees pre-payment, the details of the amount you have paid will be confirmed on your CAS.
Please note that bank transfers and bank draft payments may take up to five days to reach the university bank account, online payments may take up to two days. Please ensure you retain proof of the date and full amount of payment.
Online (two working days to reach DMU account)
You will need your student reference number which will be allocated once your application has been received at DMU.
Make payment online.
Paying by bank draft or cheque (five working days to reach DMU account)
Please make payable to ‘De Montfort University’ and send to:

You can opt to pay the tuition fees in full or follow an instalment plan:
Instalment plan 1: Pay 50% in advance of enrolment. The remaining 50% can be made in 3 instalments on 21 October, 21 January and 21 April.
Instalment plan 2: Pay 50% of the fees in advance of enrolment. The remaining 50% can be made in 7 instalments on 2 November, 2 December, 2 January, 2 February, 2 March, 2 April and 2 May.
