Global Partnership Scholarship

Partnerships with purpose are a strong theme of DMU’s Empowering University strategy. We believe strong global partnerships enable us to deliver our vision in Leicester and enable students and graduates to access international opportunities.

The following merit-based scholarships will be awarded on an application basis to students meeting a defined criteria who are applying for any level of an undergraduate degree. We welcome applications to the Global Partnership Scholarship from prospective students who will contribute to our Partnerships with purpose strategy and can demonstrate the championing of the partnership between the UK and their home country or institution.

Awards available are:

  • 3 x Full Scholarship Awards
  • 9 x £8500 Scholarship Awards

The Global Partnership Scholarship is only awarded for the first year of study however can be combined with the Global Access Scholarship for progressing years of study. A qualifying criterion will be defined for each country and published shortly. Please see this page for the online application portal. Applications will be open from 1 May 2026. Winning applications are decided by panel and successful award winners notified no later than 31 July 2026. 

Winners are expected to contribute 10hrs of their time to DMU led marketing activities over the first year of study. This could be a contributing to social media campaigns, being a panel member on a livestream/podcast or advising prospective international students to DMU. Full briefing and training will be provided by our expert engagement teams.
