External review (Office of the Independent Adjudicator)
Currently registered students and alumna who have exhausted the university's internal complaints procedure and do not consider their complaint has been satisfactorily dealt with may ask the Office of the Independent Adjudicator (OIA) to consider their case.
Complainants should contact the OIA directly for information on the OIA scheme for reviewing student complaints. OIA contact information is given in the university "Completion of Procedures" letter, which is issued by the Student Appeals and Conduct Officer along with the university's final decision letter.
Please note that the OIA will not review complaints from applicants for places on university courses.
If the complaint is about debt advice or debt counselling provided by the University the complainant has the right to request a review of the case by the Financial Ombudsman Service should they remain dissatisfied with the outcome of the internal complaints procedure.
