Everybody's Reading 2019: Celebrating river and canal landscapes with poet Jo Bell

We are delighted to be joined by the award-winning, former UK Canal Poet Laureate, Jo Bell, for an afternoon of water-inspired poetry from 3pm on Monday 14 October.

You are invited to come along and enjoy the poetic deliberations at the DMU Riverside Café as part of the Everybody’s Reading 2019 Festival.

Jo will be reading her acclaimed poetry that is motivated by her work and life on the water as well as her favourite submissions from the audience.

Share the words of your favourite poets, writers and personal influences that have a reference to water by posting them on the Leicester Water Community platform. Those that spark Jo’s love of poetry, canals and heritage will get a mention for a special reading on the day.

This free celebratory event of Leicester’s waterways is brought to you to by Leicester City Council and DMU working together on the EU-funded POWER project.

Be sure to share something literary to be read out and get yourself down to this special afternoon’s event where a complementary cup of tea or coffee will be available for everyone who registers.
