The event is called Empowering Female Futures and will cover themes based on female empowerment. There will be inspirational talks providing an insight into the intersectionality of the female experience and issues around gender, race, disability and sexuality.

The conference is organised by DMUworks Enterprise in collaboration with Leicester Castle Business School students Jane Hearst and Max Chikwanha. The DMUwomen network are also supporting the event.

The event will take place on Tuesday 10 December at The Venue and is open to staff, students and the public.

If you are interested in speaking at the conference, you should complete and return an application form no later than 4pm on Friday 18 October. Applications will be reviewed by the organisers and a number of applicants are invited to a special audition day on Wednesday 30 October.

On the day, students will deliver a 10 minute speech to an independent panel who will choose one student to go forward and speak at the event in December.

For any queries, or to receive an application form please email tedxdemontfortu@dmu.ac.uk.

Tickets are free and will be available at 1pm on Wednesday 9 October. Follow the DMUworks Enterprise Twitter here for ticket announcements.
