Learn about #DMUglobal's student exchange opportunities at the DMU Study Abroad Fair

Come to #DMUglobal’s Study Abroad Fair on Wednesday 28 November and discover how you can spend up to a year studying or working overseas through the Erasmus+ programme in Europe, or studying at one of DMU’s partner universities in the United States, Canada and South Korea.

Study abroad fair - main

Studying or working abroad is open to current second year undergraduate students at DMU and successful applicants will spend a year overseas before returning to DMU for their final year.

Students taking part in a full year study exchange or work placement will pay only a £650 tuition fee (£750 for international students) to DMU for the year abroad, and no tuition fees are payable to your host university. All DMU students also receive financial support from #DMUglobal to help with the cost of living overseas.

About the event

At the fair, you will be able to find out more about the process of going abroad, get answers to any questions you might have and speak to other students who have already taken part in the programme.

Current exchange students at DMU will be on hand to tell you more about their home countries and you’ll be able to pick up information about the various partner universities as well. There’ll be various activities and a chance to win some travel-themed prizes.

Student Finance will be there to offer advice about what financial support is available to you, while DMU’s faculty placement teams can advise you on how to find a position in a company or institution in case you want to gain work experience through a placement. The Erasmus Society at DMU will also be present, promoting the activities that they are organising throughout the year – and they can also be approach to find out about their personal experiences of studying on exchange.

The Study Abroad Fair takes place in the Hugh Aston Atrium on Wednesday 28 November. Drop-in at any time between noon and 2pm.

Applications to go abroad in 2019-20 are now open, and the deadline to apply is 9am on Monday 21 January 2019. For more information about how to apply, go to the #DMUglobal website or email studentexchange@dmu.ac.uk.
