Danielle Wetton

Danielle completed a Foundation in Art and Design at DMU before continuing on to our Graphic Design and Illustration BA (Hons), saying; “I learnt a number of digital based skills from learning how to set up a document for print (pre-press) to developing my own illustration skills by hand and experimenting with collage, ink, pencil etc. to find my style and what I enjoyed.”

Danielle particularly liked the open friendly studio atmosphere, and the way in which academics were always on hand to offer continuous feedback. The project featured here shows a font which was to be pitched to a design agency, and features a variety of papers and weights incorporated into the concept, which Danielle based on Scandinavian Heritage. 

Having won the ‘On the Cards’ competition and undertaking a placement in the Summer of 2015, Danielle secured part-time work as a junior designer  in a small studio alongside studying for her final year, and is now looking to progress from this into a role at a bigger design agency.
