New Asian Founders networking event launched at DMU

Barclays Eagle Labs is launching a new platform bringing together Asian entrepreneurs, industry experts and founders to drive business growth.

The Asian Community Meet-Up will take place on September 21 at De Montfort University Leicester (DMU)’s Innovation Centre which is home to the region’s only Eagle Lab.

Award-winning entrepreneurs and founders will be sharing their success stories and insights at the event, which aims to create a supportive and inspiring network for Asian business owners and start-ups.

It has been led by Poonam Sharma, Barclays Eagle Labs Leicester manager, and Nimesh Kanani, city leader for Barclays Leicester. Following the Leicester launch, the team will hold events in Manchester and Glasgow.

Poonam said: “I'm extremely proud to launch the Asian Founders Community Meet with Nimesh in Leicester this September before heading to Manchester and Glasgow.

“Supporting and empowering Asian entrepreneurs is vitally important and for Barclays Eagle Labs to launch the initiative here in Leicester, a city which boasts so many successful Asian businesses, is very exciting indeed.”

The event includes a panel discussion with Tanjinder Banwait, founder and MD of Urban Apothecary, Ashraf Attia, of Predictiva; Mital Thanki of Spark Academy; Anuj Ashar of Beta Booster; Jaspal Minhas of the Asian Business Association; mentor and coach Payal Walker and Kunal Dattani of Lifestyle Entrepreneur Limited.

The Asian Founders Community Meet aims to create a supportive and inspiring platform for Asian entrepreneurs and founders. This event will bring together industry experts, successful entrepreneurs and aspiring founders to share insights, network and foster a strong community.

Whether you are an aspiring entrepreneur, a business founder, or an investor looking for promising ventures, this roadshow offers a unique platform to learn, connect and grow.
