Learn from research-active academics with extensive industry experience, and stay at the forefront of the latest industry trends and techniques by attending guest lectures and skills workshops. Develop your skills in specialist facilities including our Creative Technology Studios, equipped with industry-standard video, audio and radio production suites and the MTI Research Lab, which features the Diffusion Studio for advanced composition and the Sound Art Lab, a flexible sound-making space.

Communication, Cultural and Media Studies at DMU was ranked first in the UK for the proportion of its research outputs ranked as world-leading in the most recent Research Excellence Framework (2014).

Our graduates work for large organisations such as the BBC and Channel 4, and have also set up their own entrepreneurial ventures within the digital media and creative technologies sector. Others have progressed to PhD study.
