Additional costs

The core textbooks for all modules are available in the Kimberlin Library at DMU, and journal articles in your reading lists are also mostly available electronically from your myDMU login.  Some students like to purchase their own text books or print course documents and we suggest allowing approximately £200 for this.

In addition, you will be required to pay for travel costs to placements across the East Midlands – this may include daily travel costs and/or additional accommodation.

Upon completion of all DMU-based assessments, you must then pass the Physician Associate National Exam to be eligible to practice as a Physician Associate. You will be required to pay for this yourself. Current fees (2017) are £250 for the practical exam and £150 for the written exam. You may also have to pay for travel costs to attend these exams.
