This module aims:

  1. To provide an analysis of the nature of strategic planning and management in the public and not‑for‑profit sectors.
  2. To examine a range of models and techniques of strategic analysis which can be used in the public and voluntary sectors.
  3. To analyse the interplay between strategic management principle and organisational characteristics in a range of public and voluntary sector organisations.
