Transition to University Day - Thursday 25 July, 9.15am till 2.45pm

As you have been awarded a DMU Contextual Offer, we want to make sure that you have a smooth transition to studying at DMU. We know you may have already attended an applicant day, or Open Day but we wanted to make sure you have every opportunity to experience DMU before arriving to start your studies.

Here are DMU we recognise going to university can feel like a big step, and we want you to know, we’re here to support you. It is important to us that we can help you feel a part of the student community.

This day is a chance to:

  • Meet other students who are due to start at DMU
  • Find out more about what to expect from university
  • Learn more about budgeting and managing your money at university
  • Experience a real lecture
  • Discover some of the support services available for students

The day is not course or faculty-specific. Instead, the participants will be from a variety of courses. The sessions will be general, and relevant to any DMU student. This is an optional day but it can be very helpful in giving you a head start in getting ready.
