Description
Our love of fashion fuels a global industry, employing millions around the world. But this is currently a system which drives environmental destruction, pollution and waste. The RSA is partnering with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation as part of the Make Fashion Circular Initiative to inspire and mobilise designers to transform the fashion system, using circular economy principles.

Senior RSA Researcher, Josie Warden, will tell us more about this exciting and important new project. Her presentation will be followed by Q&A and discussion. We’ll then hear from Dr Claire Lerpiniere on Stories of Textiles and the Circular Economy, and Dr Nicola Thomas on Can Circular Fashion Leverage Systemic Change in the Global Fashion System? Dr Chetna Prajapati will be joining us to talk on Enzymes: Old tools, new possibilities.

Light refreshments will be provided, and there’ll be time for informal networking at the beginning and end of the evening.

The event is free to attend and open to all, including Fellows, friends, and colleagues interested in supporting the work of the RSA. Arrive from 6pm for light refreshments, speakers and Q&A from 6.30pm-8.00pm post-event networking until 8.30pm. Further information here.
