Worried about a friend? Not sure what to say or how to help?
At university, friends are often the first people to notice when someone is having a difficult time. This interactive workshop will help you build the confidence and skills to support a friend who may be struggling with their wellbeing, while understanding when and how to encourage them to seek further help.
You'll explore:
- How to recognise signs that a friend may need support
- How to start supportive conversations
- Active listening and responding with empathy
- Setting healthy boundaries and looking after your own wellbeing
- When and how to signpost someone to appropriate support services
Whether you're supporting a flatmate, course mate, friend, or teammate, this workshop will equip you with practical tools to help you respond with confidence and compassion.
