Equality & Diversity

The university is committed to ensuring that all DMU staff understand their responsibilities relating to equality and diversity and have the knowledge and skills to effectively implement equality and diversity in the workplace. Therefore, equality and diversity training is mandatory for all university staff. Equality and diversity training is also recommended for all DMU students. This training includes specific information which seeks to prevent discrimination or harassment on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment/identity, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation. It also covers DMU's staff: Policy for Dealing with Bullying & Harassment and the student equivalent: Dignity and Respect Policy.
