The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Leisure Centre is undergoing essential works this term to repair flood damage to the sports hall floor.

The inclement weather over the summer months unfortunately caused the QEII Leisure Centre to flood and this has affected the flooring in the sports hall, which now needs to be replaced.

Works to replace the sports hall floor will start on Monday 30 September and take four weeks to complete.

The Leisure Centre, throughout the works will be open as normal in all other areas and members can access activities and programmes in the usual way.

DMUsport has been working hard to find alternative facilities to accommodate student sport activity to ensure that every club and DMUactive session is able to continue.

However this may not always be possible due to alternative venue availability.

If you are part of a sports team or DMUactive session at DMU, your committee or activator will be in contact in due course to inform you of arrangements for the term.

If you have any further questions regarding DMUsport or DMUactive, please contact sports@dmu.ac.uk.

If you have any questions in relation to the works please contact leisure@dmu.ac.uk.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
