DSU launch Give it a Go programme

De Montfort Students’ Union (DSU) is launching a Give It A Go programme to give students the opportunity to try something new without the commitment.

The launch event will take place on Tuesday 26 November at 12-3pm at the DSU Atrium, in the Campus Centre.

What is the Give It A Go programme?

The Give It A Go programme aims to provide a platform for all DMU students to have new experiences and try things that might be out of their comfort zone.

Most of the activities are free and you can attend as much or as little as you like. The events will include taster sessions, volunteering, enhancement workshops and trips.

You can see a full list of Give It A Go events on the DSU website.

What can I expect at the launch event?

There will be performances from DSU societies at the launch event, including the Bollywood Dance, Hip Hop Dance, Acapella and Salsa Society.

There will also be stalls in the Atrium, including DMUactive, DMUsport and #HealthyDMU.

Aisha Ismail, Student Opportunities and Engagement Executive, said: "Give it A Go is an experience without the commitment. It’s for students to explore, benefit and learn from the wide range of different opportunities we provide varying from volunteering to democracy, from societies to sports club and from day trips to cultural events to see what works for them."

If you have any questions relating to the Give it a go programme please email the DSU Activities team at activities@dmu.ac.uk.
