Celebrate the Holi Festival of colour with DMU

DMU’s free Holi Colour Festival event will return again this year on Friday 29 March in Bede Park.

DMU-Holi

Holi, the Hindu festival of spring, is marked with a heady mix of colour and fun across the world, spreading a message of peace and love for all. Previous years’ events at Bede Park, next to the DMU campus, have seen hundreds of students and staff join in the fun - turning the area into a sea of bright pink, blue, green and yellow powdered paint.

The event starts at 4pm on Friday 29 March and it’s free to enter. There will be a DJ and live music providing Bollywood beats and dance tunes, as well as a free colour cup per person (subject to availability, so get there early!). Additional cups of colour will be available to buy, which will raise funds for the Square Mile India fund which supports our charity partner Manav Sadhna.

Everyone is welcome and you can spread the word on social media using the hashtag #DMUisHoli.

The afternoon’s activities are organised by the DMU Indian Society, #DMUSquareMile and the CEM Faculty.
