Explore mental health topics with BrightSparks and DMU's Psychology department

Leicester-based mental health organisation BrightSparks and the DMU Psychology department invite you to a special event on Monday 21 January, at 4.30-8pm, in the Attenborough Arts Centre, Lancaster Road, Leicester LE1 7HA.

Students from DMU’s MSc Psychological Wellbeing and third-year undergraduates are hosting table discussions as part of the event, aiming to explore different perspectives on mental health and engage a diverse group of people in the topic.

There will also be a screening of the international documentary film phenomenon Crazywise, which explores global perspectives of mental health.

BrightSparks is a group of mental health service users and others interested in promoting positive images of mental health via the arts. At Monday’s event it will be launching its brand new film and website as the organisation prepares to become a charity.

The event, which comes just after DMU's Digital Detox initiative, aims to stimulate discussion, and develop joined-up thinking and change. We would be delighted if you could join us for the whole event, or just some of it.

Please RSVP to office@brightsparksarts.uk by Wednesday 16 January.
