New lecture series will showcase DMU's exciting PhD research and contributions to the SDGs

The Doctoral College Lecture Series is a new monthly event to showcase the success and impact of DMU’s PhD researchers and celebrate their contributions to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

SDG 5-6-10-main

Our launch, titled ‘SDG 10 in 10 minutes’, is devoted to the topic of reduced inequalities and takes place on Tuesday 19 February at 5.45-7.15pm in the Vijay Patel Building 4.09.

The lectures are open to all students, staff and the general public. They’re free to attend but please reserve your place via Eventbrite. Networking opportunities and refreshments will be available.

During each event, three of our PhD researchers from different Research Institutes will deliver a 10-minute speed lecture exploring how their research links to one of the SDGs.

These will be followed by a Q&A session with an expert panel consisting of DMU academic and research staff, including DMU’s Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research, Professor Rusi Jaspal.

Confirmed dates for the following two events are:
