Updated: Highway changes to Bonners Lane

Leicester City Council's works to Bonners Lane and Grange Lane as part of the Cyclist and Pedestrian Improvement Scheme continues with both lanes of Bonners Lane set to be closed to vehicles from Tuesday 7 May (and not Monday 29 April as previously stated) until around the end of June 2019.

Access will be maintained for pedestrians.

Drivers requiring access to university buildings and car parks which are currently accessed from Bonners Lane will need to use alternative routes on arrival to the university.

During the closures drivers leaving this part of the campus will need to use alternative routes – e.g. Gateway Street – Jarrom Street – Oxford Street or Gateway Street – Jarrom Street – Havelock Street.
