Social media is a powerful tool to connect with the wider world, for students it offers opportunities to grow their depth of learning and engage in unique opportunities, socialise with friends and family, as well as enhance their employability.

DMU’s social media policy is designed to aid students in using social media effectively, safely, and responsibly; whilst avoiding compromising their own personal safety, or the university’s security, and reputation.

There are lots of things to think about when using social media – everything you post has the ability to be seen by a huge audience, so it is important to be careful with what you share and understand the wider consequences of your digital footprint.
